Barrack geared up for its annual American Red Cross Blood Drive, which took place on Tuesday, February 27th, in the Mitchell Building Gym from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This event, held in partnership with the Red Cross, aimed to contribute to saving lives both locally and globally. One pint of blood has the potential to save up to three lives. As part of the Barrack community, individuals had the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by participating in this noble cause. To be eligible to donate, individuals had to be 16 years or older. As a token of appreciation for their generosity, all donors received a $20 Amazon gift card. This served as a small gesture of gratitude for their life-saving contribution. However, for those unable to donate blood, there were still numerous ways to contribute and make a difference. Many students and faculty supported their peers or volunteered to assist with the event. The Barrack community came together for a day of giving back and making a difference in the lives of others. This year, we proudly collected 32 units of blood, potentially impacting the lives of 96 individuals. Such a remarkable achievement underscores the generosity and commitment of our community. Looking ahead, mark your calendars! Our next blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, February 20, 2025!
